BFR Ernie Ball MusicMan Redwood StingRay Bass Guitar

THIS IS A BRAND NEW VERY LIMITED EDITION 2008 ERNIE BALL MUSICMAN BALL FAMILY RESERVE STINGRAY 4 STRING ELECTRIC BASS GUITAR WITH A BEAUTIFUL FIGURED REDWOOD TOP, A MAHOGANY NECK, AND DUAL HUMBUCKERS.

THE FIGURING OF THE REDWOOD ON THIS GUITAR IS GORGEOUS.

There was only 100 of these basses produced worldwide, and only 50 of them were shipped to the USA.

THESE ARE SOME OF THE BEST GUITARS I'VE EVER PLAYED. THEY SOUND LIKE A MILLION BUCKS AND PLAY LIKE A DREAM. THE WORKMANSHIP ON THESE GUITARS IS TOP NOTCH, THEY ARE VERY VERY WELL BUILT WITH THE MOST SOLID CONSTRUCTION I'VE SEEN OUT OF ANY BOLT ON NECK STYLE GUITAR.

Gene Simmons Owned Bass Ernie Ball Kiss

The StingRay is legendary for it powerful tone and excellent, highly shapeable preamp. Introduced in 1976, it was the first bass to feature active electronics and advancements such as a 6-bolt neck joint, contoured body, superior neck truss-rod system, and rock-solid bridge, all of which keep it on top of the pack. Constructed with a select hardwood body, maple neck, Schaller BM tuners, 3-band active EQ, and MusicMan humbucking pickup.

This guitar is from The Butterfields/Lelands Kiss auction from a few years ago. The auction catalogue states that Gene played the bass in the studio on Psycho Circus. I doubt the bass was ever played live as it isn't a model that Gene would seem to play live.
The bass is in great condition and I have played it a few times just around the house It is a ernie ball musis man bass as shown in the picture.

MOSRITE "Ventures"BASS

MOSRITE “VENTURES” BASS.

NEW IN ORIGINAL CASE.

FROM THE JONAS RIDGE, NC FACTORY

EXTREMELY RARE

BUILT BY SEMIE MOSELEY

(WITH HIS SIGNATURE ON BACK OF HEADSTOCK)

ABOUT THE INSTRUMENT:

You are looking at a NOS (New Old Stock), MOSRITE “VENTURES” BASS from the MOSRITE JONAS RIDGE, NC FACTORY. It is absolutely the best looking Mosrite guitar we have every seen from this period. The finish is a PEARLIZED WHITE that glistens from every direction. It is perfect we believe. And irreplaceable. A true "ONE OF A KIND" collectible guitar.

From the information provided to us, this is a custom Mosrite built in the Jonas Ridge factory sometime in 1982-83. On the rear of the headstock is Semie's signature with a date but all we can make out is 19-- and Mr. G. will not let us touch the screws to remove the tuner to get a better look. This was a special order bass guitar built for RANDY (it appears that the last name of Randy is Moseley as noted on the ticket signed by Semie but we have not been able to verify that information). This name “RANDY” was stamped onto the fretboard as you can see in the pictures here. Along with the guitar is part of the shop ticket for this guitar showing that Semie signed off on the “Finish”, “Hardware”, “Set-Up”, “Test”, and “Approved By”. The owner of this guitar, Mr. G, would not allow us to touch this guitar other than to take pictures and the we wore gloves to do so. We have called this a "Ventures" bass since that seems to be what Semie wrote on the ticket.

RED Metallic Electric BASS-JAZZ Guitar

Beautiful Metallic Sparkle RED full size Jazz Bass style electric bass

INCLUDES gig bag, strap and cable too!

Solid Basswood body and neck - Rosewood fingerboardLow-noise electronics and "sweet-spot" precision tone control. 2 knobs to control the volume of each single coil pickup and one to control the tone.

This is a sweet looking bass with very nice low end. Nice action for slapping or picking. Fully adjustable bridge. Truss rod in neck.

This is a copy of the classic Jazz style bass. Made famous by virtuoso Jaco Pastorius, It also became a classic in the hands of bassists such as John Paul Jones of Led Zeppelin, Geddy Lee of Rush, and it remains a popular choice of musicians of Rock, Punk, and Fusion.

The neck on the Jazz Bass is narrower towards the nut and slimmer than the P-Bass. It was called the "Jazz Bass" because the neck was more similar in contour to an upright acoustic bass than the original P-Bass. Ironically, it has been more famous in the hands of rock bassists than jazz, funk or r&b bassists who, historically, tend to prefer the P-Bass.

The narrower neck on this bass may be good for players with smaller hands or short fingers, although playing bass in general requires great finger dexterity, due to the long scale of the neck.
The neck on this particular bass is very smooth and very fast....a necessity on any instrument, but especially a bass guitar. If you've ever played a cheap bass with a neck that wasn't milled properly, you know what i'm talking about. The only thing cheap about this bass is the price. This one is guaranteed to be good!

Includes accessory pack - Gig bag, Shoulder strap and Instrument cableFREE while supplie last.

This Bass is in very good shape for its age. There are some small dents, scratches on body and headstock edges. Some touched up areas. VINTAGE WEST GERMAN CONTESSA BASS GUITAR RIGHT HANDED

YOU ARE BIDDING ON A MADE IN WEST GERMANY CONTESSA ELECTRIC BASS GUITAR. NOW REMEMBER THAT THEIR IS NO LONGER A WEST GERMANY IT IS NOW UNIFIED GERMANY SO THIS TELLS THE APPROXIMATE AGE TO BE 60s-70s. THIS GUITAR IS BELIEVED TO BE OLDER THAN WHEN THE WALL CAME DOWN. IT IS A 4 STRING. 20 FRET. THE NECK IS UNIQUE MADE OF VERY THIN SLICED PIECES OF WOOD BONDED TOGETHER WHICH MAKES IT EVEN STRONGER THAN 1 SOLID PIECE OF WOOD. THE WOOD LOOKS TO BE MAPLE. THE FRET BOARD IS A ROSEWOOD. THE TUNERS ARE BASIC KEY STYLE TUNERS. AS YOU CAN SEE IN PIC 2 TUNER COVERS ON BACK ARE MISSING. 2 TUNER GUIDE INSERTS FOR TUNER POSTS THAT THE STRINGS ARE STRUNG AT ARE MISSING. THOUGH THESE CAN BE EASILY REPLACED. IN REFERENCE TO BOTH FRONT AND BACK PIECES. THE NECK HAS MOTHER OF PEARL DOT INLAYS. THERE IS A VERY UNIQUE STEEL NUT THAT STRINGS ARE HELD INTO PLACE AT TOP OF NECK. HAS A BLACK TRUSS ROD COVER. HAS A SINGLE PICK UP. BASS BRIDGE IS VERY BASIC SINGLE BAR THAT RAISES UP AND DOWN. THE GUITAR DOES NOT HAVE ORIGINAL KNOBS. AND 1 CONTROL KNOB DOES NOT WORK. THOUGH THE GUITAR DOES POWER UP AND PLAY. NEEDS TO BE REWIRED TO ACTIVATE SECOND CONTROL. THE PICK GUARD HAD STICKERS ON FRONT. THE PICK GUARD NEEDS TO BE CLEANED AND SO DOES THE REST OF THE GUITAR. THE BACK MOUNTING PLATE NECK AND BODY ALL HAVE THE MODEL ENGRAVED INTO THEM READING CLG5. THE BACKING PLATE IS ALSO STAMPED WEST GERMANY. iT IS NOT VISIBLE IN PICTURES. THE BODY HAS SOME NICKS AND DINGS. THE NECK IS STRAIGHT . THIS GUITAR NEEDS SOME TLC AND CLEANING, ALTHOUGH IT DOES SOUND GREAT.
